     " Why we use...'Cotton wicks,Ghee & Camphor [Kapur] for 'Aarti "?

:}  ------'Aarti " is made of cotton wicks , this 'cotton wicks '...represents "Bhakti,

             and....Ghee is "Our Karm".  and  then fire is the burning of our karmas in knowledge,

 

:} ------the rotating of lamps from left(Past) to right (Future) To the center(Present) ....

         and then immediately to the top and back to the center ..

          is the absolute present where we get Darshan of the divine.

         so always be in the present and experience the Divine...during 'Aarti "

:}----- This definition makes a lot of sense. It enlightens me with so much knowledge rather than just a ritual.

 :} .... I still remember this like yesterday, years ago(>20 yrs)

          sangu and we were soaking Dada's feet in His room  at Dad's old house [Africa] and ...

           He was in His joyful mood and explaining Aarti to us  and said "evu thayee!!" 

           [yani....'Aarti krte waqt aisa hona chahiye!]

:} Too young at that time to know what "evu thayee",[ aisa hona chahiye]  today we know "evu thayee!!!"

:} .... Such an awesome experience that today I got to know what my name really means...

 :} -----we were so grateful to experience DADAG in a physical form. 

 -:}---------- addition on that Kapur[Camphor] is sublimation of our "ahankar"

 :} ---- you burn instantly from solid to gaseous form and emit a wonderful purifying fragrance while doing this..... my favorite part!! 

 :} does that mean that Kapoor burns with no trace and that is how our' ahankar' needs to burn to have oneness with ourselves!

:}  I see Kapur [Camphor] as symbol of purification and healing, so it is a process whereby which 'ahankar'-ego- can dissolve but not burn instantly,  from solid to gaseous.....slowly slowly your identifications dissolves with His Darshan and you experience oneness with all. you purify yourself. ......did i do justice to the explanation?? 

:} ...... yeah that is a better understanding. I know it had to do with ' ahankar'-Ego- but was not able to break it down
